CallMe is a real Game-Changer - providing affordable, usable, Broadcast IP Audio Codec Solutions.
CallMe was developed out of customer demand for easy-to-use solutions for Remote Audio and at an affordable price. It all began with CallMe Click-&-Connect Cloud Codec making it simple for guest contributors and reporters to send broadcast audio using a web browser on their device, without the need for any special hardware or software download. Compatible with all codecs that support Opus/G.722 and SIP, it works with pretty well any Studio back-end including of course CallMe Hardware and Software codec solutions.
CallMe Hardware Codecs now support Dual SIP Streaming to RFC7198 and support Opus/G.722/G.711 audio coding algorithms, SIP and direct connections using Ethernet and USB Mobile connectivity. SmartStream™ additionally provides multi-destination streaming including the ability to use one CallMe stereo codec as two mono codecs to two separate destinations. Shoutcast/Icecast compatibility is also included.
CallMe Hardware Codecs include CallMe-T – Vortex’s own low-cost codec with front-panel QuickDials, for those who do not need a full-featured solution. CallMe-G is a fully-integrated upgrade for the huge number of legacy GSGC5 ISDN Commentator Codecs that provides CallMe IP connectivity without losing the original capability. And finally, CallMe-RC is a software-only add-on for RODECaster Pro II and Duo, converting them to full-featured Outside Broadcast Codecs that can run for up to 7-hours using an off-the-shelf battery pack. RODECaster mixers offer incredible flexibility and instead of needing to connect to a separate codec for Remote Use, CallMe-RC provides a fully-integrated solution at a fraction of the price of a “standard” Portable Codec. They are the world standard for Podcasting and having IP connectivity lets Podcasters include Remote Guests using CallMe Click-&-Connect direct to the Mixer.
CallMe Cloud Solutions include CallMe Click-&-Connect Browser-to-Hardware to put Guest Contributors Live On-Air connected to the Studio Codec, CallMe diRECt-X Browser-to-Browser (no hardware or software codec needed) that connects up to 5 Guests with a Host, each with mix-minus/clean feed return audio, providing Live end-to-end encrypted Opus audio for Broadcast. Additionally, the Host can initiate in-browser recordings that are uploaded in the background to the Host, providing lossless audio files for later editing or repeat and in case of live connectivity issues.
CallMe can also run as a Windows Service to provide multiple codec channels running on a single computer. CallMe-TX interfaces to analogue and digital hardware and virtual soundcards (including Dante Virtual Soundcard) making it ideal as a Studio ingest for Programme Audio, Talkback and VoIP telephony.
