One of the 21st century's great gifts to humanity is the internet. For the first time in our history, it is harder for tyrants to hide their atrocities. Information from every corner of the globe can be sent instantly to millions of people. However, like any new invention, the internet can be used for both good and evil. The democratisation of voices has unfortunately led to an easier way for falsehoods to flourish. It is harder to discern between what is real and what is invented. Too many of us are fooled by false information because we have never been taught the skills to analyse, critically evaluate and verify.
