Paris Podcast Festival

PARIS PODCAST FESTIVAL 2018 It's not radio, it's podcast! The first edition of the Paris Podcast Festival took place from 19 to 31 October 2018 at the Gaîté Lyrique. What is a native podcast? Unlike a radio podcast, which makes it possible to catch up on a program that could not be listened to during its broadcast, a native podcast is a sound content designed, produced and broadcast exclusively online and to which everyone can access through an application whenever they wish. When you listen to a native podcast, you listen to what you don't hear on the radio: voices, stories, conversations, which are new ways to tell the world and capture attention. In contradiction with the omnipresence of image culture, mainly through television and smartphones, podcasts free people from dependence on screens and bet on the imagination. Native podcasts are now emerging as a new frontier of storytelling that gives rise to a sound culture. Native podcasting is a real cultural phenomenon of this decade that has cleared a whole field of possibilities for storytelling and sound conversation. The idea of the Paris Podcast Festival is to introduce the pleasure of this new listening culture to a large audience.
